Wyoming Range 100 - 2020 Update #1 (3/25)

Runners,

Like many of you, presumably, we've seen our spring running calendar thrown up in the air.  It's been disappointing but also entirely necessary.  As virtually ever race director will tell you, including a few on this email list, safety is paramount.  Ultramarathons are meant to be tough — \not needlessly dangerous.

Within this climate of uncertainty, we've received a handful of questions about the inaugural Wyoming Range 100: "Is it still happening?"  "Are you planning to change the event in any way?"  "What can I do to help?"

We want to answer these questions, among others, so we published a note on our journal, All Systems Go: A Note on Coronavirus. As the title suggests, we have every intention of holding Wyoming Range as planned and structured -- no changes, in other words.

Uncertainty is not going away any time soon, however. Things may change. If they do, we'll continue to keep you updated through (1) email, (2) our website and (3) UltraSignup. Some of you may have already noticed that we added a "COVID-19 Status" section to UltraSignup

In the meantime, please — please! — do not hesitate to reach out at any time. In these unusual times, we're doing our best to simply maintain conversations with the running community. My phone number is below as well as on our website. We're here.

Denis & Colin

PS — Stay tuned for the Runner Manual, which we'll post to the website in the next few days.
